The Republic of Cyprus grants EU Residents to business people and investors within a few months provided that they choose Cyprus as the base of their business activities.

Acquiring a Cyprus residence enables you to travel, reside, work, and carry out your business activities without any obstacle in all the EU member-states.   • Category A: Individuals who intend to work as self-employed in the sectors of agriculture, cattle breeding, bird breeding or fish culture within the Republic of Cyprus. It is required to have in their possession adequate land or a permit to purchase same, have entirely and freely at their disposal capital of approximately €430,000 and such an employment should not have negative effects on Cyprus economy.

  • Category B:Individuals who intend to work as self-employed in the mining sector within the Republic of Cyprus. It is mandatory to have a relative permit. Furthermore, it is required to have entirely and freely at their disposal capital of approximately €350,000 and such an employment should not have negative effects on Cyprus economy.

  • Category C:Individuals who intend to work as self-employed in a trade or profession within the Republic of Cyprus, provided that they have a relative permit. Furthermore, it is required to have entirely and freely at their disposal capital of approximately €260,000 and such an employment should not have negative effects on Cyprus economy.

  • Category D:Individuals who intend to work as self-employed in a profession or science within the Republic of Cyprus, provided that they have the necessary academic or professional qualifications. Possession of adequate funds is also required.

  • Category E:Individuals who have been offered permanent employment in Cyprus, which will not create unfair local competition.

  • Category F: Individuals who possess and have entirely and freely at their disposal a secured annual income, high enough to provide them a decent living in Cyprus, without having to engage in any business activity, trade or profession.

  • Application 6(2):In accordance with the provisions of Regulation 6(2) of the Aliens and Immigration Regulations, the Minister of Interior, having informed the Council of Ministers, has decided to grant an Immigration Permit to non-EU nationals based on specific investment/financial and qualitative criteria
